While cremation is a permanent process, there are options one can choose.
The basic form of cremation is direct cremation. The body is cremated soon after death occurs. A memorial service can be planned at a later date.
However, a funeral service with cremation to follow allows the family to have the body present, a very important part in the grief process. Cremation is carried out after the funeral service. Rental caskets with replaceable interiors are available for this purpose.
Cremation can be more economical than traditional ground burial. Cremation can eliminate the need for a grave space, opening and closing costs and the purchase price of a burial vault.
Cremation is not performed at our funeral home. The cremation is performed at a nearby crematory.
The cremated ashes can be buried, scattered or kept with the family. We offer urns for each of these purposes.
